Research focus: Cancer, cell death, autophagy and new therapies.

Dr. Trindade graduated in Pharmacy from the Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (UNIMEP). She completed her postgraduate studies at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where she obtained a Master's Degree in Pharmacology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences and a PhD in Biological Sciences, an area of ​​concentration in Human Physiology, by the Institute of Biology. She is currently deputy head and professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Paulista School of Medicine, Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). Her research mainly involves preclinical studies in the field of experimental oncology with emphasis on mechanisms of cell death control, aiming at the development and identification of new drugs and / or new treatment protocols. Within this area of ​​action, she has supervised undergraduate and graduate students. Her research activities developed so far have resulted in numerous articles published in specialized journals and in several patents, in addition to more than 90 papers presented in annals of events.
