Research focus: 

Central Nervous System and Hydroelectrolytic Balance: role of the main central hormones, such as angiotensin, natriuretic hormone etc, and brain areas in the maintenance of the aqueous and body saline balance.

Central Nervous System and Cardiovascular Regulation: role of areas of the central nervous system in the regulation of the cardiovascular system.

Dr. Colombari holds a bachelor's degree in dentistry from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1990), a Ph.D. in Science (General Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (1995) and a PhD from Sanduiche - The University of Iowa (1995). Visiting Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology, University of Bristol, UK (2007-2009) in collaboration with Prof. Julian Paton and David Murphy. He was Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (1994 - 2011) and Professor at RDIDP of the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (as of 2011). Coordinator and Principal Investigator of Projects FAPESP and CNPq. Permanent Adviser in the Physiology-Pharmacology Course, UNIFESP-EPM, CAPES Level 6. Elected President (2019-2020) of the Brazilian Society of Physiology - SBFis - elections 2016.
