Research focus: Anxiety Neurobiology

Biography: Graduated in Psychology (1991) and in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (2006), Ph.D. in Psychobiology from the University of São Paulo (1996) and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Federal University of São Carlos (2010). He did sandwich-type doctoral internships at the Universitat Tubingen, Germany, and at the Instituto Clemente Estable, in Montevideo, Uruguay. She is currently an associate professor, adjunct professor, at the Federal University of São Paulo. She has experience in the field of Neuroscience, with an emphasis on Neuropsychopharmacology and Physiological Psychology, working mainly on the following topics: anxiety, animal models, serotonin, GABA, CRF and behavior. She advises several national and international magazines. She is a lead researcher, co-responsible for the research group "Neurobiology of stress, anxiety and drug addiction", at the Federal University of São Paulo, member of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), of the Brazilian Society of Neurosciences (SBNeC ) and the Brazilian Society of Psychology (SBP).
