Biography

Research focus: Neuropsychopharmacology, learning and memory, memory and emotion relationship, and animal models of central nervous system disorders.

Dr. Silva holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the Federal University of São Paulo (2001). She completed post-doctoral internship at UNIFESP as a fellow of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (2002-2003). She was a visiting professor in the pharmacology department of UNIFESP (2004-2005). Later, she worked as an effective professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Graduate Program in Psychobiology, where she was vice-coordinator. Since July 2014, she is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo. She works in the area of basic research in neuropsychopharmacology with emphasis on the following themes: memory and learning, memory relationship with emotional states, and animal models of central nervous system disorders.
