Research focus: Characterization of the release profile and regulatory activity of eicosanoids and their precursors in the degeneration and regeneration of skeletal muscle, after injury; molecular mechanisms of the pro- or anti-inflammatory effects of A2 phospholipases or their isolated complexes of venomous snake venoms; anti-inflammatory and antiofidical action of bioactive compounds from natural sources, studies of new therapeutic targets in diseases of inflammatory nature.

Dr. Moreira holds a degree from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, State University of São Paulo Araraquara (1998), a Master's Degree in Toxicology and Toxicology Analysis from the University of São Paulo (2002), Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of São Paulo (2007). She held postdoctoral studies at the Butantan Institute in 2008-2009. In 2009, she held postdoctoral studies at the Institut de Pharmacologie Moleculaire et Cellulaire-CNRS-França, until 2010. Between 2012-2014, she carried out post-doctorate at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences-USP in human metabolomics, also acquiring knowledge about the lipidomic approach. She is currently a professor (adjunct professor) at the Federal University of São Paulo, Department of Pharmacology, Division of Cellular Pharmacology. The researcher has experience in Toxicology Analysis, Toxinology and Pharmacology of Inflammation.
